Seventeen-year-old Alex has been targeted as the primary suspect for the mysterious murders of the local town's children, in an effort to keep him in line - and out of trouble, his adoptive parents enroll him in the Boys Academy for Disturbed Youth. Here he meets other young men with similar minds to his own, particularly a troubled arsonist by the name of Carter.
