Ben 10 photo comic where the Omnitrix houses the aliens themselves instead of their DNA. Similar to Toy Story, when Ben does not dial, the aliens are sentient and do their own thing inside the Omnitrix. But when Ben dials, they act like they're not sentient. The toys in Toy Story help their kid e.g. Andy, to grow up, i.e. they are non-sentient parents. Similarly, the aliens are non-sentient parents for Ben.
