After fleeing a cult that used her for her supernatural abilities, Maya joins a band of misfits: a boy with broken wings in search of his missing sister, a mage struggling with long term illness, and an optimistic nomad, as they cross a post-apocalyptic world to reunite Maya with her friend, clever inventor and bartender, Theo. Through various hardships and unresolved traumas, they learn to rediscover hope through found family.
