Hades, a scarred, touch-starved King of the Underworld, claims Demeter's daughter Kore as his "prize" after her mother bargains her freedom for another's life. She wakes in the obsidian halls, tethered to Hades throne by a thick, enchanted chain and begins to plant black petals in hell, forcing color into his darkness. He unlearns possession; she unlearns martyrdom. They heal each other and grow a garden from the void.
