In a futuristic America, colonies have sprouted, containing communities of individuals with remarkable gifts. However, "powers", people who have such abilities, are hunted down and killed, for their kind are not welcome amongst the rapidly growing infrastructure of the new age. It is in one of these communities where two best friends Avery and Malik are forced out of their homes and must learn to adapt to the new world.
