Long ago, an invincible warrior sought a worthy battle and open the forbidden Gates of Shadows, unleashing demons that tore his flesh, drained his soul, and turned him into a shadow. Thought he fought to stop the demons, he became one of them. The Demons wreaked havoc until the Guardians of the Gates rose to protect humanity. A great war raged for years, decimating both sides. Eventually, the demons retreated in fear, and the Guardians sealed the gates, and disappeared from humanity, forever.
