Follow the daily life of Dream, a 22 year old art student who spends her summer collaging family memories and recipes in her journal. The “Gullah” or African American term, Drylongso, meaning “everyday”, “ordinary”, or “getting by” reflects Dream's summer vacation. During this vacation, she recalls memories of her mother and the connection between Soul Food and her family as they begin to heal from her mother’s traumatic sickness and previous hospital stay.
