When a zombie apocalypse traps students in Japan's most diverse university, a usually guarded Haru saves lighthearted, sensitive, and well known Kenji from a suicide attempt. Kenji survives but becomes something close to a demi-zombie, part human, part infected, and wildly unpredictable. As the infected ignore him, Haru and Kenji navigate a collapsing campus, teasing, bickering, and leaning on each other in the darkness. Survival has never been so messy… or so strangely sweet.
