Ludo is the world's only known pyromancer, who's ability was nurtured as a child, not by his own will, but by the Imperial capital of Yvelle. Proven to be a menace to his captors, he finds himself in a dangerous spot when they find a replacement. As he escapes with the help of his childhood friend, he enters a new, foreign world to him where he meets a strange creature not quite different from himself: a kitsune, who has the key to free him from the empire's threat.
