Long ago, the archduke’s grandfather invented a magical rock called an ember. Embers had the ability to produce the exact flames the master craftsmen used to create magical items. Embers brought light, heat, and have enhanced the kingdom's technology. Each year, due to their magical abilities, a handful of young apprentices would receive an invitation to work and study inside the duke’s castle. Four apprentices - Moira, Lyra, Leo, and June stumble upon a secret that could cost them their lives.
