The A.I. won the war when it figured out how to hack bionic enhancements. In a last ditch effort the ‘No Steel' project launched, with the hope of creating humans, strong enough to face a mech. It was never completed and the planet was lost. Many years later, a survivor's stasis casket lands on a distant world.
