Amo, an orphan raised and rejected by the Church, has never felt like she belonged anywhere. Everything changes when she is assigned to care for **Graven**, a dangerous and mysterious demi-human recently captured and imprisoned in the Church’s dungeon. He makes no effort to seem kind—or harmless—yet, for some reason, he never turns his cruelty toward her.
