Ofelia is a robot. She is part of a military series called Andromeda built by Massachusetts Mechanics a hundred years ago for the American Army. The andromeda series is now being retired because many model developed some sort of superiority complex towards humans. Massacres all over the country have led to the deployment of a task force called the hunters. Ofelia, who is most of the time disguised as a human, developed feelings for a man called Peter Ginsberg, problem: he is part of the hunters.
