It’s a new dawn in Megacity after the detonation of an “Atomic Manipulation Device” leaves the head of Ominous Medical and Natural Science Laboratories dead, his heir apparent missing, and a portion of the city’s population with superpowers –– which they seem all too eager to employ for criminal ends. Detective Thomas Zhang, scientist Dr. Ivan Petrov, and journalist Clementine Cole struggle against their superiors to unmask the truth of the inciting incident colloquially referred to as “the cataclysm.” Meanwhile, a shadowy presence presides over the panels on the other side of a suspicious security camera system and a menacing interior monologue. As the mystery surrounding the cataclysm intensifies, one thing remains certain: our heroes are in ominous company.
