Empyrean is a world composed entirely of sky and floating islands where dragons and humans compete for the skies. Fio and Mara, heirs to the highest seats of power and privilege of the Alvaran Empire, are voluntarily abducted by the dreaded captain of the Mockingbird and come face-to-face with the horrors their nation has wrought.
