"End", only indicates the end of the chapter, but it's also a critical beat in the story, Edwin and Otto cannot yet be called 'Friends' but their introduction to one another is over, they now have a pretty basic understanding of each other's motivations. They'll continue to discover much more about each other, but no longer as 'strangers'.
