A curse ravages manking, turning everyday people into wild beasts. To combat this, Blades of Humanity - an organisation of hunters - take to the streets to kill those that have turned. Kafka Ikari is one such hunter. However, after a near-death experience, he is pulled into a conspiracy that consumes his whole life, one that threatens his trust in his organisation, the origins of the curse, and the very foundation of his own memories.
