The year is 1666, and the Black Plague has covered London in one never-ending, dreary blanket. Yet, despite the high death toll, a few good souls still work to restore harmony to the city. Chester Reuben is one such man. He volunteers as a plague doctor for the poor, and at the end of the day, he returns home to his mansion, seeking out refuge away from the ill, and comfort from his beloved family. This mansion is the raven's impenetrable safe space.
