She has spent years hunting monsters. By day, she runs a small apothecary, blending remedies and studying old folklore. By night, she follows rumors of creatures hiding in the forests, villages, and forgotten places beyond the town. She has learned not to trust appearances, and certainly not to feel sorry for what she hunts. But then she meets him. At a crowded ball she noticing a man, but there is something strangely familiar about his face she just cannot place.
