Syria, a driven, hardworking self-starter is deaf (and mostly mute). Aside from her time running on the track team, school's a drag, and so is dealing with peers. Teachers, too, not like many of them do anything to accommodate her. So, when she gets paired up for another project, she doesn't expect much else than the usual. But, it turns out her partner for the project is mute too, and even knows ASL! Maybe this project won't be as bad as she thought.
