After a near apocalyptic incident known as the 'Starfall', a region of the United States was completely destroyed. In the epicentre of the incident, the carcass of a slain monstrosity provides ample opportunity for the human curiosity to be piqued. Decades later, in the research colony close to the crater, prosaically named Starfall City, a group of young misfits is forced to face the fact that humanity is not the sovereign ruler of this part of the earth.
