Juniors in highschool Ruby and Celia both run the astronomy club. Ruby is a conspiracy theorist and aspiring 'alien hunter' while Celia is an aspiring astronomer and 'debunker of nonsense.' In attempt to save the school club from shutting down, the two girls along with their camera man Jaz venture into the woods. They film their adventure of investigation to show the school how fun their club is. They were not prepared for what they found.
