Ezra Chrome almost hates being a prince. He hates the thought of having to run a whole kingdom, he hates his "princely duties" that have him running around the castle all day, and most of all he hates his swordsmanship lessons. The only thing he doesn't hate is the attention. Well, and one more thing. Ancil Naden is the mysterious gardener, and the other thing Ezra doesn't hate about being a prince.
