The year is 2024, the war was three years ago, and vampires are no longer welcome in the United States. In an effort to maintain anonymity and stay safe, two years ago the Victoria family moved from their longtime home in Salem Oregon to Bondville Vermont and by some twist of fate, another family from the other side of the country, the Buchanans, are doing the same thing for all the oppostie reasons.
