There's so much of this world I don't know, why do people hurt others or persecute those they think are less than. Alicen is caught in a rock in a hard spot, as her feelings and past contradict her plans for the future and her urge to change the way things are. As she plans her escape from the cruel reality that she isn't human, or ever will be. As her fears and dreams come to life, finding out you don't have to be human to learn to live or feel joy and sorrow.
