Kitagawa Aki is a high school student that lives in the countryside of Japan. After class, Aki encounters Takahashi Eli by the river on his way home. Absent from Eli's awareness, a malfunctioning bicycle suddenly hurtles towards her before bizarrely knocking her out due of shock. Aki takes her in his home and cares for her until she gains consciousness. Eli is an introvert yet embodied with a somewhat feisty personality who has an odd sentiment for umbrellas.
