After committing a crime she thought was justified, Comet is banished from her nomadic tribe before she could even finish her overdue rite of passage. As she is thrust into a dangerous and unpredictable world, she amasses quirky yet equally troubled travel companions, and faces seemingly insurmountable foes, everything from unruly marauders to vicious beasts to mysterious and tyrannical empires.
