At the bottom of a lake in Velhollow, Riven opens his eyes in a body that finally feels like his own. With no answers and a name that feels half-remembered, he is drawn to Astriel, a prophet-to-be marked by fate. But the longer Riven remains by Astriel’s side, the closer he is pulled toward a version of himself he is not sure he can trust and a purple-eyed crow watches as if it already knows what he will become.
