Kazuo Hiroshi is an ordinary businessman, struggling his way through life after a tragic accident befell his family. Now alone with no one but his kitten Yuki to keep him company, Kazuo plummets into a deep depression and is on the cusp of giving up. However, after halfheartedly making a wish on one of Yuki's shed whiskers, Kazuo watches in awe as Yuki transforms into a young girl before him. It is now up to Kazuo to show Yuki how to be human, and along the way, learn how to live again.
