It's been a long time since wizards and witches were burned just because they could do magic. The non-magical people have accepted the power of wizards, and wizards have agreed not to use their magic against humans unless the situation demands it. Every wizard has a retaining familiar companion, like owls or cats… They help the wizards maintain control of their powers and cater their magical needs. However, there was one condition for all familiars: they were NOT ALLOWED to USE MAGIC. The punishment for those who taught them magic was execution. The differences between humans and wizards have subsided, but now the distance between familiars and wizards has grown. As the arrogance of some mages is pushing their companions to revolt against their wizards and the Law. Updates once in 2-3 weeks
